What we do

Our programs are geared towards youth and young adults to educate, equip and empower them on the positive effects of making better choices.

Rise-Up

The program is designed to help Grade 6 learners develop the fundamentals of the following soft skills: Growth mindset, creativity, critical thinking, decision-making, and goal setting to help them become future-focused.

Level-Up

The program is designed to help Grade 7 learners build and develop critical skills that will help them become more goal-orientated, such as: Grit, identity, self-esteem, self-confidence, hope, resilience, and goal setting.

Leap of Faith

In partnership with Reconciliation Ministries, the program is geared towards high school learners at risk of expulsion. The program offers a holistic approach to intervention to provide the learners with

Young Leaders

In partnership with the Message Trust South Africa, the after-school programme is geared towards at-risk youth to help build their identity and self-confidence and teach them about the dangers of alcohol and drug use.

Intervention sessions

These sessions are designed to introduce the organization to a potential partner, aiming to develop a long-lasting relationship with the potential partner.

We are an interdenominational Christian organisation. Alcohol and Drug Concerns, formerly known as the South African Temperance Alliance, was established in Cradock, SA, in 1889. During this time more and more communities and churches were being negatively influenced by Alcohol abuse. A group of passionate people started educating the vulnerable on the dangers of Alcohol usage/abuse and ADC continues to do so, more than 100 years later.
